Engraved, Routered, Sandblasted
Engraved option:
Allen Sign Company provides beautifully finished engraved plaques and panels in a wide range of materials. You select your materials and sign shape, and Allen Sign Company uses laser engraving to ablate the sign's surface thousandths of an inch deep to provide a contrast that is precise and clean.
Routered option:
Allen Sign Company is your source for laser cut and routered acrylic lettered signs. We offer materials in gauges ranging from 1/8" – 1", giving you the most comprehensive variety of acrylic materials possible. Allen Sign Company's state of the art computers pair with custom-designed, high-speed 1000W lasers to precisely cut your customized signs. We then polish the edges of the laser cut signs, giving you an immaculate, precise finish.
Sandblasted option:
Allen Sign Company offers an unmatched supply of top quality Redwood Heartwood for your sandblasted signage needs. Every day we also blast hundreds of square feet of hard woods such as Mahogany, Red Oak, Maple and Walnut. Natural stones, Granite, Corian and HDU are other substrates that we work with every day.
• For Redwood signs, we start with dimensional lumber, select heartwood in 12" width. We offer 1 1/2" and 1" finished dimension Redwood. Our standard blast depths are 1/4" to 3/8" and vary to the wood itself. Requests for deeper blast, just let us know when placing your order.
• For High Density Urethane (HDU) signs, we prefer to use Sign Foam II and as with our wood signs we have a couple of additional steps in preparation that we see as adding additional life to the sign.
• Our work with golf courses has led to extensive experience with the use of granite for signage. We source our granite domestically, and a couple of times a year we import direct. This gives us the ability to work with our customers on larger orders and pass along significant price breaks. There are many different colors and grades of granite. Each has a different cost, so check with us regarding your specific needs with this material.
• Solid Surface is a material that is exploding in the sign industry! This versatile substrate has a life span well beyond the useful life of any sign! We produce everything from blanks to blast and even inlay for our customers. Our advantage is the ability to source the product from two main manufacturers DuPont (Corian) and Formica (solid surface) at pricing that lets us produce wholesale product at very competitive prices. In our standard offerings, we have four colors standard for sign blanks that we can produce below regular wholesale cost of the material. Special order colors are available; please call for pricing and details. Solid surface blast pricing in the program will always be Formica Solid Surface. Blanks and V Route and Inlay can be either manufacturer depending on what is in stock. We will always use the same manufacturer and specific color to complete any order.
• For Red Oak options, we start with dimensional lumber FAS selecting only clear stock. We use Red Oak in several interior applications for plaques and signage. The wood is very strong; blast depths are limited, but the blast area is flat with the exception of the open grain.
• For Mahogany options, we start with dimensional lumber FAS selecting only clear stock. We use Mahogany in several interior applications for plaques and signage. The wood is very strong and is absolutely beautiful once blasted. The blast area is very flat and suitable for both stain and paint. We only use real Honduran Mahogany unless requests are made for another species.
• For other hardwoods: through the years we have blasted many types of wood for our customers. Our experience can help in selecting or possibly staying away from a particular wood. Call with any questions you might have and pricing details.
